Hello community, my name is Shahar. I am a passionate cook with years of experience in the gastronomic industry. I have been sharing the secrets of the Vegan Middle Eastern cuisine in Israel, Spain, Germany and Portugal for many years.

In 2017 I introduced the traditional hummus at the Barão de São João Market and in 2023 Algarvegan Hummus Bar opened its doors in Raposeira where locals and tourists visited our bar and enjoyed the original culinary proposal.

The classic homemade falafel with fresh salad in pita bread and the warm hummus dish prepared on spot received very positive reviews on the main platforms and portals such as Google Maps, Happy Cow, and others..

Now we have grown and we are ready for the next step...

Algarvegan will reopen its doors in April 2024 in its new location surrounded by nature, next to the charming village of Barão de São Miguel.

This time I decided to create a vegan and family friendly place where you can rest from the routine and enjoy the tranquility of nature.

In Algarvegan you will find a variety of homemade vegan street food: Falafel, Sabich, Hummus, Burekas, the Dish of the Day and more.

You will enjoy natural juices, smoothies, desserts like our traditional Malabi, cakes, and breakfasts on Fridays and Sundays in a unique outdoor place to enjoying sunny afternoons with your friends, where children can run and play.

For this new venture I greatly need your collaboration and together we will create an incredible space.

What do I need?

In order to offer you an excellent service I need to build a new Food Truck kitchen and invest in furniture.

How can you collaborate?

I have created this crowdfunding campaign where you can purchase discounted vouchers before the opening in April 2024 and in this way you will help me make my dream of reopening Algarvegan Hummus Bar come true.

Our intention during this crowdfunding campaign is to be able to collectively raise 4,500€ together to cover part of the investment expenses necessary for the opening of the new Algarvegan Hummus Bar in Barão de São Miguel.

How does the voucher system works?

Discounted vouchers can be purchased from March 1^st, 2024 to April 30^th, 2024.

Vouchers will be sent via link to your email within 24 hours of receiving payment confirmation.

All vouchers contain a QR Code that must be presented upon arrival in Algarvegan.

Discounted vouchers belong to this crowdfunding campaign are only valid to be used from May 15^th, 2024 to September 30^th, 2024.

In order to use your discounted voucher please reserve a table by calling Algarvegan Hummus Bar, so in this way we will be 100% sure of having the food you have previously ordered.

Membership Cards and Mugs will be delivered on the same day that the respective discounted voucher for the previously purchased menu will be presented. Only applicable for Menu Options 4, 5 & 6.

* Vouchers that include Hummus (Hummus Lovers, Hummus Family) should be used on Thursdays and Fridays, which are the only days we serve our Homemade Hummus.

The carob trees make nature’s place a must. I loved the falafels! Smooth warm humus is impossible to resist.
